Dr. Romany Pinto is a clinical associate at the Veterinary Medical Centre who is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA). She studied at Florida's Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine where she received her certification in 2008. Her training incorporates modern medicine into the traditional Chinese approach to medicine.
Our team of board-certified anesthesiologists (ECVAA: European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia and ACVAA: American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists) also supports the operation of the VMC's small animal intensive care unit (ICU). The VMC's anesthesiology team provides a range of services including sedation, anesthesia, post-operative recovery and pain control (analgesic management), ventilation, and critical care management.

Our small animal surgical team includes board-certified specialists who are diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Our small animal surgeons are constantly developing and refining new procedures to apply to the field of surgery.
Our Surgery Team is also made up Anesthesia, Rehabilitation and Critical Care.
The WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre's large animal clinical team includes board-certified surgeons who provide a range of soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures for large animals. Their work is supported by registered veterinary technologists who have extensive experience working with large animal patients.
