Small animal surgery service: call ahead before referring
If you're referring a patient to the small animal surgery service at the WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC), make sure to call ahead first.
The VMC has experienced a surge in small animal surgery cases in December. While the hospital is still accepting surgery referrals, the VMC clinical team reminds veterinarians to call 306-966-7126 (Small Animal Clinic reception) to confirm if the surgery service can provide care for your patient or if the animal will need to be referred elsewhere.
