As this year draws to a close, the WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC) wishes a joyful and peaceful holiday season to the hospital's referral community and their loved ones. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year!
Please note that that VMC will offer emergency services only for small and large animal patients from Thursday, December 25, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Emergency services for small animal and large animal cases are available 24/7 throughout the holidays. However, the VMC's small animal emergency team may restrict patient intake to life-threatening cases only from 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. each evening/night based on hospital capacity.
Whenever caseload and staffing permits, the clinical team will see patients that fall under the urgent condition.
If your veterinary clinic is referring an animal to the VMC's emergency and critical care service, call the VMC in advance (306-966-7126) — regardless of the time — so our clinical team is aware of the incoming case.

VMC PHARMACY (2025-26 holiday hours)
- December 24: open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- December 25-26: closed
- December 29-31: open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- January 1: closed
- January 2: open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please note that the pharmacy is closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
