Hospital's 'information co-ordinators' outline services
In addition to managing the WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre's (VMC) referral portal, members of the hospital's health information team co-ordinate all patient records and imaging entering and leaving the VMC.
Sending records to the VMC
Send all patient records to vmc.info@usask.ca and please make sure to include the names of both the patient and client in your email message.
Put our old email address in the trash
Is the VMC's old email address (vmccorrespond@usask.ca) still showing up in your emails? Please make sure to delete this address from your contact list. The HIM team have been receiving a significant number of duplicate records from both email addresses, and it's a time-consuming process to verify them.
Requesting VMC patient records
To request patient records from the VMC, contact the VMC's health information team directly (vmc.info@usask.ca or 306-966-7111). NOTE: please allow a minimum of two days for the VMC team to process your records request.
Requesting medical imaging files from the VMC
The VMC only shares computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound files through Change Healthcare’s Stratus Imaging PACS system. This secure platform is highly encrypted to protect patient data.
When you request advanced imaging for the first time, you will receive an email invitation along with instructions. If you have any questions, please call the VMC's health information team at 306-966-7111.
