How you can help support and control feral cat populations

Animal rescue groups need your help to address the issue of cat overpopulation. Donate money or items, volunteer, foster or adopt animals from them. Provide financial or volunteer support to low-cost spay-neuter clinics. Spread education and awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering before cats reach reproductive age — as early as four to five months old.

Keep your own cats indoors, on a leash or inside an enclosure so they can’t roam. Help prevent breeding by ensuring stray cats are captured and neutered. Pay to adopt a pet — the fee includes vaccinations, spay-neuter surgery and microchip identification, so it’s a very good deal!
